Lucy worked with Janet Jackson when teaching at the Philadelphia Zoo and now teaches K-3 science at Chestnut Hill Academy. When asked about any favorite animals, she had to admit, "I love my dog. But I really love everything. My classroom is filled with snakes, turtles, frogs, rats, birds, and a tarantula. I love teaching children with animals.
Environmental education is the most important thing for generations to come. This organization feeds that need. Environmental issues don't have national boarders and I enjoy bringing people together. Children relate to this and we need to reinforce these feelings as a value through life. The Wild Ones brings environmental issues into our backyards."
