The Grey-Crowned crane is one of the best-known cranes in Africa. The golden feathers of the Grey-Crowned crane make them look different from the rest of the crane family. There are also other things that make them different from other cranes. They have short, fat beaks and are the only cranes that build nests in trees.
Grey-Crowned cranes can be found in all parts of Africa, from the coast to the southern tip. They are so important that they are even the national bird of Uganda, a country in Africa. The people of Africa and the cranes live together peacefully. But if the marshes of Africa don't stay around, these cranes will be in danger.
