About the Environment Around Our School

The environment around Philadelphia has hills big and small. There are forests and grassy meadows. We have two big rivers. Their names are the Schuylkill and the Delaware. There are many smaller creeks. One near our school is called the Wissahickon. We have about 40 inches of rain in a year. In the winter it gets icy sometimes and we get snow. We have a hot summer. The leaves fall in the fall. We have lots of houses in the city. There are lots of friendly people. There are lots of animals and plants. There are many different habitats in which they can live.
