Killer Whales can be found in cold waters. They live in almost all the world's oceans.

Food and Hunting

Killer Whales often come in near land searching for prey such as shore birds and seals. Killer Whales are one of the fastest of all mammals. Killer whales don't attack humans. Killer Whales breath usually every 10 to 30 seconds. Killer Whales travel in herds between 2 to 3 and 25 to 30. Killer Whales are very active animals.

Appearance, Behavior and Life Style

Killer Whales are dolphins. The color of a Killer Whales are jet black with snow white regions. Male Killer Whales may grow to be 1.8 ft. Killer Whales can swim as fast as 40 65 miles per hour. Killer Whales usually breath every 10 to 30 seconds.

Killer Whales migrate to the equator during winter. Killer Whales eat warm blooded animals. Killer Whales hunt like a pack of wolfs. If a Killer Whales sees a seal on an iceberg the Killer Whale hits the iceberg with its nose. Killer Whales play with its food like a cat.

Life Cycle, Mating & Reproduction

Some Killer Whales give birth at anytime of the year. Calves get to be as big as 2.4 ft. A calf drinks milk from the mother until its first birthday.
