Zoo Snooze

Our Girl Scout troop recently had a sleep over at the local zoo and spent the night visiting the animals in their night time bedrooms. This spring we will have a sleep over at Orlando's Seaworld!

The Green Lizard

by Amanda

The Green Lizard is as green as the grass.
It is also like the green ocean.
It has dark beady eyes like the sky.

The Ostrich

by Ashley

The Ostrich is the biggest bird,
very smart,
that's for sure.

If an enemy gets near its eggs,
it will run and save them
with its long, strong legs.

It is a big bird, so it can not fly.
But without its big body,
with hawks around it could die.

If I were an ostrich, I would fly away
from Australia and Africa,
because it's hot all day.
